The Ramsay Pharmacy Group (RPG) is part of Ramsay Health Care (RHC), Australia’s largest private hospital operator, providing specialised medication and pharmacy services to community patients throughout Australia.


An exciting opportunity has become available for an Oncology Lead to join our Ramsay Pharmacy team in John Flynn Private Hospital. We have a permanent full time position available on a rotating roster where some weekend shifts may be required.  The Ramsay Pharmacy oncology service is a comprehensive oncology pharmacy service with a commitment to quality patient care. 


The role of the Oncology Team Leader will involve:

  • the preparation and dispensing of a variety of cytotoxic medications (in accordance with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice);
  • clinical review of patient oncology pathways;
  • maintenance and use of the CHARM oncology software;
  • providing a clinical pharmacy service; and
  • managing clinical trials/compassionate stock access programs where applicable.



  • Demonstrated contemporary pharmacy experience with a minimum of 2 years of hospital experience
  • Experience in a clinical oncology and broader clinical hospital pharmacy services
  • Aseptic manufacturing skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively and lead a team
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to build positive working relationships with patients, staff and clients
  • High attention to detail and the ability to organise and solve complex problems
  • Demonstrated time management skills with the ability to meet strict deadlines 
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or equivalent
  • Current registration with APHRA
