Due to growth of our services, we are looking for Registered Midwives to join our friendly and supportive team at Frances Perry House in central Melbourne.

 

About the Role

In this role, you will be working alongside a team dedicated to delivering a high standard of care for mothers, newborns and their families. Our multidisciplinary team of experienced obstetricians, paediatricians, midwives, nurses, lactation consultations and allied health professional’s work together to ensure an exceptional patient experience before, during and after pregnancy.

Our combined Maternity/Surgical Ward specialises in women's health caring for women who are experiencing complications of pregnancy, induction of labour or undergoing gynaecological surgery. You will also have the opportunity to work in our Maternity Care Centre that offers outpatient antenatal and postnatal services in addition to our Labour Ward, dedicated Postnatal Ward and Parenting Program at the Grand Hyatt.

You will participate in a comprehensive orientation program and receive extensive support from your Nurse/Midwife Unit Managers, Associate Midwife Unit Managers, Clinical Midwife Specialists and Clinical Development team. We are committed to professional development and we will support you to advance your clinical skills and progress your career.

Each year, we deliver over 3000 babies and perform over 5000 surgical procedures. We also have a unique advantage of being co-located with the Royal Women’s Hospital. This allows us to provide our patients with the highest standard of private hospital care whilst having access to tertiary level care facilities of the Royal Women’s Hospital if required.

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital maternity setting with a passion for women’s health. You will have a high standard of patient centered care and customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment where no two days are ever the same.

The flexibility to work a 7 day rotating roster with will also be key for this role.

Criteria:

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as Registered Midwife.
  • Recent maternity experience is ideal although we encourage newly graduated midwives to apply.
  • Postgraduate maternity qualifications will be highly regarded, though not essential.
  • Sponsorship available to suitable applicants with at least two years’ experience who are seeking fulltime employment.

Remuneration 

$ 32.63 - $ 45.26 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (VIC RN/Midwife gr1-gr10) [FTE $64 476.88 - $89 433.76]

Frances Perry House is a fully accredited obstetric and surgical hospital located in the renowned Parkville Biomedical Prescient. Specialising in women’s health, we are committed to providing the highest standards of specialised services, skilled personnel and sophisticated technologies. Our specialities include obstetrics, gynaecology, urogynaecology, plastic and cosmetic surgery. Each year, we perform over 5600 procedures and deliver more than 3000 babies.

Requirements
