We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join the leadership team of our Accident and Emergency Unit at Peninsula Private Hospital as an Associate Nurse Unit Manager.

 

About the Role

The Accident and Emergency Unit at Peninsula Private Hospital provides a crucial 24-hour critical care service to the Bayside and Melbourne Southeast. You will be taking on a key leadership role within the unit working closely with the Nurse Unit Manager in the efficient management of staff and resources with the goal of ensuring achievement of excellence in care delivery in line with policies and procedures, best practice and legislative requirements.

You will be mentoring and leading a passionate team of nurses and clinical support staff alongside a supportive leadership team so this role will suit an individual driven to help others succeed. This is a perfect opportunity for a senior nurse to step up into a management role and build your clinical leadership skillset.

This role reports to the Nurse Unit Manager and works a 7-day rotating roster.

 

About You

To succeed in this role you will bring a strong clinical skillset in a hospital setting as a trained Nurse with a passion for client care and a high standard of customer-focused service in line with Ramsay's core values. You will have exceptional communication skills and have the ability to work in a fast paced environment. You will bring a capacity to lead and inspire a team of clinical professionals and act as a passionate mentor. Specialty experience within an Emergency unit will be crucial for this role.

The flexibility to handle a rotating roster along with weekend, evening and night shifts will also be required.

You will also bring;

  • Relevant qualifications and Registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • Extensive proven experience as a Nurse in an acute care setting.
  • 3 years minimum experience in a similar Unit or Ward (Emergency)
  • A Critical Care certificate will be required for this position.
  • Any clinical leadership experience or post-graduate specialty qualifications will be highly regarded.

Peninsula Private Hospital is a comprehensive 344 bed acute emergency, surgical, medical, cardiac and obstetric facility located in the bayside town of Frankston in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs. The hospital currently accommodates a 14-bay emergency department, 226 medical and surgical, 36 cardiac, 11 ICU, 7 Neonatal, 14 Obstetric, and 30 Oncology beds which include 15-day infusion chairs.
