The Opportunity

Ramsay Health Care has identified the importance of procurement to its corporate strategy and created new roles aligned to an exciting FY25 Procurement Transformation. These new positions will focus on delivering business value through identifying and completing innovative procurement projects.

These positions offer a springboard for Procurement Specialists or Leads to join our fantastic team in the growing healthcare industry. Healthcare experience is NOT required!

Reporting to the Portfolio Manager you will be collaborating with technical and business stakeholders across Procurement, Finance and Operations. You will use your analytical skills to identify and quantify opportunities, your project management capability to plan and deliver initiatives, and your influence and change management toolkit to ensure outcomes are achieved. You will take a partnership approach to collaboration with supply chain partners and ensure the business owns the outcomes you help secure.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify procurement opportunities and deliver optimisation and sourcing strategies to deliver business value.
  • Lead procurement activities, including category analysis, cost modelling, compliance, sourcing, and contract management.
  • Identify innovation and continuous improvement opportunities and provide actionable management insights.
  • Engage with supply chain partners with a partnership approach observing principles of good supplier relationship and performance management (KPIs and SLAs).
  • Analyse, track, and report on current and pipeline activities and benefit realisation.


While the possibilities are endless, ready opportunities have already been identified in catering and hospitality, labour hire/contingent workforce, professional and managed services, telecoms, clinical systems and biomedical devices, and capital expenditure. Each project will offer a chance for personal and professional development within a supportive and experienced professional team.


Key Skills and Experience

  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • Adaptability, ability to work under ambiguity, preferably in a fast-paced or rapidly changing organisation.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and implement data-driven decisions.
  • Excellent influencing, communication, collaboration, and presentation skills.
  • Experience effectively leading cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Exposure to principles of effective project management, business analysis, change management or related disciplines. 


Qualifications and Accreditations

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline such as Business, Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Law, Lean Six Sigma
