Casual Administration Officer
Noosa Hospital
We are seeking a flexible, highly organised and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Admin Assistant in our Emergency Department. It is a casual position with the potential to become permanent part time. The successful applicant must be available to work a variety of shifts including all time listed below, and be able to work weekends and be available over busy holiday periods.
Shift times:
- 05.00-14.00
- 08.30-16.00
- 14.00-21.00
- 16.00-01.00
As a member of the Noosa Emergency Department, you will need to ensure patients are administratively admitted, discharged & billed in a timely manner. This role is a very busy role and demands someone who can work autonomously, whilst supporting the rest of the ED team and other areas of the Hospital as required.
Essential
- Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability
- Demonstrated exceptional customer service skills
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Available to work a flexible roster Monday – Sunday, between the hours of 500am to 1am (shift times may vary over the holiday periods)
- Be available to work a flexible roster and available at short notice
- Adherence to deadlines and ability to work with minimal supervision
- Ability to work as an effective team member
- Willingness to learn
Desirable
- Experience in hospital patient administration systems, or private practice software
- Understanding of Private Health Insurance / patient billing
- Relevant health services experience is recommended

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
- According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
