Sterilisation Technician

The Opportunity
This role will see you working as a member of the Sterilising Services team to provide timely sterile products, trays and equipment for our busy theatre department. This is a critical part of the surgical process and the ability to work efficiently within a small team and manage pressing deadlines is crucial.
Your duties will include, but not limited to:
- Maintain compliance with minimum requirements for equipment care, handling and re-processing.
- Maintain your competency standards in all sterilisation and decontamination processes.
- Adhere to sterilisation standards and relevant legislation affecting practice.
- Collaborate with Theatre & other CSSD staff to ensure timely equipment processing.
Skills and Experience
- Certificate III in Sterilisation Services
- Enrolment in or completion of Certificate IV in Sterilisation Services is desirable
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Sterilising Services
- A comprehensive knowledge of CSSD processes and tasks
- An understanding of relevant standards and AS5369 requirements
- Experience in coordinating loan sets would be highly regarded
- Ability to deliver high-quality service through effective teamwork

Requirements
- Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
