About the Role
This role will see the successful candidate raise security awareness through a strong visual presence and be effective in protecting staff, visitors and property through scheduled patrol and security duties.
You will monitor and make regular checks of the facility both internally and externally, ensuring proactive and timely reporting of any issues. This position works alongside a dedicated and professional team, reporting to the Workplace Health and Safety Coordinator.
This role will work across a roster including weekends and night shifts, so flexibility is key.
About You
You will be a conscientious, honest and physically fit, professional with the capacity to handle physically demanding tasks. A high level of customer service, organisation and time management skills will also be key, as you will regularly liaise and support hospital staff, patients and their carer’s across the facility.
Essential skills and experience:
- A current Qld security license
- A valid QLD or NSW Driver’s License
- CCTV experience desirable
- Proficiency in conflict resolution and excellent problem solving and negotiation skills
- Previous experience in a security role, ideally in a hospital/health setting, will be advantageous
This role will also include fire warden training as part of your overall induction.
