About the role

In this position, you will be accountable for preparing food for both patients and staff, maintaining a high standard of quality in hospital food production, and ensuring cleanliness within the department.

This will be in accordance with the required Food Safety Plan, applicable HACCP standards, and hospital policies.

• Ensure all meals are presented in appropriate proportions and according to the menu requests
• Ensure high standards of cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas
• Assist in ordering of all food stock, ingredients, supplies and equipment.

About You

You will serve as a positive role model, demonstrating the ability to cultivate a culture that is supportive, friendly, collaborative, and forward-thinking.

You will also bring:

• Certificate III in commercial cookery or equivalent skills from previous experience
• Previous experience in a hospital kitchen (desirable, although not mandatory)
• Compliance with HACCP, Food Safety and Workplace, Health and Safety
• Commitment to excellence in preparation and supply of food services
• Commitment to excellence in hygiene standards.

Requirements

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
• According to the role, Ramsay may require a Working-With-Children check and proof of immunisation against infectious diseases.
