The Opportunity

We’re on the lookout for a commercially savvy Head of Finance Systems to join out Australian operations. Reporting directly to the Chief Financial Controller, this is a senior leadership role, you'll be a key player in our Head Office Finance team. Your responsibilities will be pivotal, involving overseeing the finance systems product ownership. This role involves collaboration with Finance, Transformation, and People teams to optimise processes, define business requirements, and develop business cases. Key Accountabilities

  • Leading the finance systems product ownership, ensuring alignment with business objectives and strategic goals.
  • Overseeing the implementation and upgrades of finance systems including S/4Hana & integration.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to define and document business requirements.
  • Developing and present business cases for system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Ensuring data integrity and accuracy within finance systems.
  • Providing leadership and guidance to the finance systems team.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and best practices in finance systems and technology.
  • Collaborating with the Digital and Technology team in the selection, implementation, and maintenance of the finance systems.

About You

To excel in this role, you will need to demonstrate substantial commercial acumen, expertise in financial assessment of transformation initiatives, strong technical finance skills, effective leadership abilities, and the capacity to cultivate robust, positive, and professional relationships with both remote and on-site teams.

Your Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability to analyse financial and operational data, generate valuable insights, and collaborate effectively to enhance business performance.
  • 5+ years in accountancy/finance management, accompanied by CPA, CA, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Proven capability in making informed decisions and communicating clearly and succinctly with diverse stakeholders.
  • Skilled at adjusting communication approaches and work methods to align with various stakeholders, ensuring effective results and outcomes.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and proficiency in utilising Excel for financial analysis and reporting.
  • Previous exposure to managing and utilising sophisticated accounting software and financial models.
  • Extensive experience in finance systems product ownership, preferably with SAP S/4Hana & integration.
  • Demonstrated track record of inspiring, motivating, and developing others to achieve high performance, both individually and collaboratively, while achieving personal, team, and organisational objectives.

Desirable but not essential

  • Experienced in financial management within the healthcare sector.
  • Proficient in financial legislation, compliance, and financial risk management frameworks relevant to healthcare environments.
