CSSD Assistant

Our Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital is in search of dedicated individuals to join our welcoming and supportive Central Sterile Department (CSD) team.

• In this role you will gain valuable experience in the reprocessing of reusable medical devices which included tasks like decontamination, packing sterilisation, dispatch, logistics and when necessary, transportation.
• Our Hospital’s CSD services extends to 4 external sites, plus in house operations, offering for work across a total of 5 sites.
• This position may require driving a van and unloading medical instruments.

Monday to Sunday 7 day rotating roster over 5 days.

PM shifts 5 shifts per week /10 shifts per fortnight

Your Skills and Experience

In order to excel in this role, you should possess a positive disposition with a “can-do” attitude. Your outstanding communication skills and the capacity to collaborate within a multidisciplinary setting are imperative for this position.

Additionally, you should also demonstrate:

• Keen attention to detail and precision
• A proven ability to function effectively as part of a high- achieving team.
• A demonstrated strong work ethic encompassing punctuality, integrity, respect for others and a dedication to upholding Ramsay’s core values.
• Valid QLD drivers’ license

Remuneration

On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from: $28.96 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances.

Facilities include 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11-bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and an 9 chair day therapy unit. Requirements

• Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months.
