About the Role

As a Theatre Bookings Clerk, you are responsible for providing administrative support and assistance to patients and their families upon their arrival at the hospital. You will be passionate about working in front facing customer service role.

 

Responsibilities of this job may include:

  • Admission scheduling processes to ensure appropriate bed management and utilisation
  • Managing incoming and outgoing calls to the front desk.
  • Provide timely and accurate information to queries by patients, visitors and other staff and departments.
  • Compilation and management of patient admission papers and clinical notes.
  • Reception duties including phone management, filing, collecting monies for admissions
  • Exceptional patient centred care and customer service
  • Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings and weekends
  • Attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
  • Good time management in a busy professional hospital setting
  • Strong IT skills
  • Very high level of communication required both verbally and written.

Key to this role will also be the availability to work a rotating roster.

 

About You

To succeed in this role, you will be an enthusiastic individual with a strong administrative skillset and a passion for customer service and enjoys being part of a busy environment.

You will also bring:

  • Computer literacy including the Microsoft Office suite of programs
  • Experience in a hospital setting in a similar role will be highly desired, though not essential.
  • Experience with Patient Management Systems is highly desired not essential
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to manage a busy workflow of admissions and discharges
  • Comfortable working in a team of doctors, nurses, pathologists, administrators, and non-clinical staff.

 

Remuneration

On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $27.47 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances
