About the role

As a Theatre Orderly, you will play a vital role in supporting our surgical teams by ensuring the smooth operation of our theatres.

Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting with patient transfers and position of patients before and after surgery
• Ensuring theatres are set up for surgical procedures, with equipment checks
• Cleaning and preparing theatres between procedures
• Transporting equipment and supplies as needed
• Supporting nursing and medical staff with various non-clinical tasks
• Collaborating with and supporting clinical staff
• Waste removal

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A strong commitment to patient care and safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• The ability to work efficiently in a high pressure environment
• A proactive and reliable approach to work

 Your Skills and Experience

• Minimum 1 year experience in an Operating Theatre (preferred)
• Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
• Be available for a range of shifts across a 7-day rotating roster.

Remuneration: On offer is a base hourly rate from $26.50 - $32.98 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD Support Services EA Level 1 Yr 1 To Level 2 Yr 4)
