Exciting opportunity for a Cath Lab Clinical Nurse to join our friendly team!

  

About the role

We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, enthusiastic, and qualified Senior Registered Nurse to join our team on a part-time basis in the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory at Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. This role is ideal for an experienced nurse or someone seeking to advance their career into a Clinical Nurse position.

 

Your Skills and Experience

In this role, you will be involved in a wide range of specialties and procedures. You will demonstrate proficiency in Scrub, Scout, and Monitoring roles across Coronary Angiography, Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, Pacemaker Implantation, Structural Heart Interventions, Cardiac Electrophysiology, Interventional Radiology, Pain Management, and both Endovascular and Open Vascular procedures.

The successful candidate will become part of a highly skilled, supportive, and collaborative team. You will possess strong clinical decision-making skills and provide high-quality hands-on care, applying clinical assessment techniques to evaluate patient health, identify needs, and deliver timely, evidence-based interventions to optimise outcomes.

You will also contribute to quality and risk management initiatives, ensure best practices are upheld, and maintain up-to-date knowledge and skills to support your ongoing professional development within a dynamic and expert multidisciplinary team.

Essential criteria.

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse
  • Minimum two (2) years post-graduate experience in an acute setting
  • Recent experience in a cardiac catheter lab
  • Proven Leadership skills
  • Post-graduate qualifications highly regarded.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team and independently as required.

Facilities include 9 state-of-the-art operating theatres, two cardiac catheter laboratories, a minor procedure room, a day surgery unit, an 11-bed intensive care unit/coronary care unit and an 9 chair day therapy unit. Medical consulting suites are located onsite together with comprehensive pathology and radiology services.

Requirements

  • Must provide a National Police Check conducted within the previous 12 months
