About the Role
Our hospital has a dynamic, engaging leadership team and we are seeking a Financial Accountant who thrives on a challenge and has a willingness to step up and work collaboratively with the executive team to add value to the business. This position is part-time, working a minimum of 50hrs/fortnight which provides a great work life balance. The successful candidate will participate in a Monday-Friday roster.
This role will support the Commercial Manager with provision of financial services for the hospital including:
- Assist in preparation of month-end financial result
- Daily banking and reconciliation
- SAP debtor invoicing / management
- Vendor invoice management
- Financial reporting
- Management of property leases and assets
- Travel facilitation
- Oversight and interpretation of commercial agreements
- Assist in ad hoc projects and analysis and assist with and add value to projects on day-to-day duties and processes
To succeed in this role, you will bring
- Tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance (or substantial experience in this field)
- Experience in SAP, Meditech and Microsoft Office software applications
- Strong knowledge of accounting operations - Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, and General Ledger
- Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
- Flexibility to adapt to change within daily activities
- Ability to manage workloads within time constraint ensuring accuracy
- Ability to manage expectations, communicate clearly and ensure that issues are escalated and managed appropriately
- Ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with each key internal and external stakeholder
