About the Role

Our hospital has a dynamic, engaging leadership team and we are seeking a Financial Accountant who thrives on a challenge and has a willingness to step up and work collaboratively with the executive team to add value to the business. This position is part-time, working a minimum of 50hrs/fortnight which provides a great work life balance.   The successful candidate will participate in a Monday-Friday roster.

This role will support the Commercial Manager with provision of financial services for the hospital including:

  • Assist in preparation of month-end financial result
  • Daily banking and reconciliation 
  • SAP debtor invoicing / management
  • Vendor invoice management
  • Financial reporting
  • Management of property leases and assets
  • Travel facilitation
  • Oversight and interpretation of commercial agreements
  • Assist in ad hoc projects and analysis and assist with and add value to projects on day-to-day duties and processes 

 

To succeed in this role, you will bring

  • Tertiary degree in Accounting or Finance (or substantial experience in this field)
  • Experience in SAP, Meditech and Microsoft Office software applications
  • Strong knowledge of accounting operations - Accounts Receivables, Accounts Payables, and General Ledger
  • Ability to work autonomously and within a team environment
  • Flexibility to adapt to change within daily activities
  • Ability to manage workloads within time constraint ensuring accuracy
  • Ability to manage expectations, communicate clearly and ensure that issues are escalated and managed appropriately
  • Ability to build and maintain positive, productive relationships with each key internal and external stakeholder
