The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Patient Care Assistant (PCA) to join our team.
In this rewarding role, you will play a vital part in ensuring patient comfort, dignity, and safety.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a Certificate III in Aged Care or Health Services who is passionate about providing high-quality, patient-centred care in a supportive and fast-paced environment.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Assist with patient manual handling using appropriate equipment and aides.
- Provide support to clinical staff and assist patients on admission to settle in comfortably.
- Assist with emergency responses as required.
- Clean and maintain equipment and patient areas in line with infection control standards.
- Carry out additional duties as directed by the Unit Manager or hospital coordinators.
Skills and Experience
To succeed in this role, you will be a positive and effective team player with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment and be dedicated to providing patient focused care.
You will also demonstrate:
- Certificate III in Health Services Assistance or be currently enrolled as a 2nd or 3rd year Registered Nursing student.
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Self-motivated and able to work effectively according to directions
- High level of interpersonal and communication skills
- High level of customer service and excellent time management skills
- Understanding of infection control principles
Remuneration:
On offer is base hourly rate ranging from $30.18 + casual Loading based on experience level and qualifications.
