Permanent part-time opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join our teams on the Gold Coast!
The Opportunity
This role will be within the rehabilitation unit at The Southport Private Hospital covering both inpatient and day rehab clients, with also the opportunity to work in the Ramsay Health Plus (RHP) outpatient clinic.
The successful candidate will work alongside our Senior Speech Pathologist as part of the wider MDT comprising full Allied Health, Nursing and Medical teams.
You will have the opportunity to participate in advanced dysphagia assessment using FEES and VFFS as well as a vast range of dysphagia and language interventions.
The successful candidate will also be supported with ongoing professional development as required. New graduates are welcome to apply!
Your Skills and Experience
- Experience working in an adult acute or rehabilitation setting desirable but not essential – New Graduates will be considered
- Experience in VFSS and/or FEES is desirable
- Experience in SPEAK OUT! or LSVT is desirable
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and written skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and in co-operation with others
- Clinical skills in comprehensive assessment, management and discharge planning
- Professional behaviour and conduct which reflects self-initiative, confidentiality, self-evaluation and commitment to professional development
- Good working knowledge of community support services
- Skills in Microsoft Office suite of programs
- Ability to manage a demanding workload, and effectively prioritise tasks

- Must provide a National Police check conducted within the previous 12 months
