The Opportunity
We are seeking Loan Coordinator to join our Sterilisation Team at Wollongong Private Hospital. In this role you will be responsible for coordinating all loaned Reusable Medical Devices including ensuring the care, handling and reprocessing of these devices. This role is a critical part of the sterilising process which will see you working within your team to meet the needs of the peri-op team. Reporting to the CSSD Manager, you will work within an efficient and supportive professional team to assist the perioperative team to deliver the best care for our patients.
Skills and Experience
- Certificate III qualification in Sterilising Services.
- Minimum three (3) experience working in a Sterilising Unit
- A strong interest mentoring and development of staff
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment & independently when required.
- Strong attention to detail and strong process improvement orientation
- Commitment to continuous improvement and the achievement of excellence
- Highly effective time management and customer service skills
- Strong knowledge of the principles behind AS 5369:2023
Desirable:
- Experience using Microsoft Office programs (Excel in particular)
- Completion and attainment of Certificate IV in Assessment & Workplace Training
