About the Role
You will be working in our busy 28-bed Surgical Ward (3F), specialising in urology, gynaecology, women’s health and plastics. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills in a diverse and rewarding clinical environment, with the support of experienced colleagues, modern facilities, and ongoing professional development programs.
We also have opportunities across other clinical areas giving you exposure to specialties including general surgical, cardiology, vascular, orthopaedics, urology, plastics, and acute care nursing.
Key Responsibilities
- Delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care.
- Monitoring and assessing patients, responding promptly to clinical changes.
- Assisting with procedures and care planning.
- Supporting patients and families through education and guidance.
- Collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives and maintaining accurate documentation.
What You’ll Bring
- Current registration with AHPRA (Registered Nurses).
- Enrolled nurses will be medication endorsed and IV qualified.
- Recent acute care or surgical ward experience.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Flexibility to work a 7-day rotating roster, including night shifts.
- Commitment to teamwork, patient safety, and professional growth.
Remuneration:
- RN On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $41.89 - $54.01+ superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD RN/Midwife Level 1 gr2-gr8).
- EN On offer is a base hourly rate ranging from $35.78 - $39.96 + superannuation based on experience level and qualifications, exclusive of penalties or allowances. (QLD EEN level 1-2 gr1-gr6).
