We have an opportunity for an experienced and qualified Locomotive Driver to join our Werris Creek Depot.
About the role
Role Location: Werris Creek Depot, NSW
Role Type: Full Time
- Drive locomotives and operate trains in a safe and efficient manner
- Act in accordance with QLRS, track access provider, regulator and siding owner rules and procedures
- Participate in training, briefing sessions and tool box talks associated with safe and efficient train operations.
- Demonstrate and disseminate a positive safety culture throughout all levels of the business and operations
- Mentor and encourage training for trainee train drivers
- Certificate in train operations and relevant AQF qualification from the current transport and logistics training package
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Clear and concise written and oral communication skills.
- Knowledge of safe working requirements on all routes, mainlines, terminals and sidings.
- Work collaboratively and harmoniously as a part of a team
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to work in a demanding environment
- Must be fit for work with a good level of fitness and general health
