We are looking for an energetic Port Operations Manager to actively lead our Timaru operations. This is an exciting opportunity to elevate your career in a dynamic industry, with huge growth potential. Reporting to the South Island General Manager, you will oversee all aspects of our Timaru services, and have a vital role in growing the operation through innovation, diversification and acquisitions.

You will be the main liaison for customers, agents and port representatives, and ensure high standards of business performance, equipment and staff. Responsibilities:

  • Strong focus on Health & Safety performance in all operations
  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff, while striving to build a strong team environment
  • Take a proactive role in developing robust customer relationships
  • Efficient and effective allocation of machinery
  • Identify and facilitate training requirements for staff
  • Day to day management of resources to meet agreed KPI's
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
