THE ROLE

The primary purpose of the Technical Training Coordinator’s role is to manage the training and compliance activities across the Qube Energy operations in Australia. This involves facilitating discussions with site management on training needs, developing, planning, scheduling and reporting on training solutions, progress and compliance.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the develop and implementation of training plans to support cost effective training solutions for the business.
  • Maximise training opportunities by monitoring site activities and advising site management on best practices to meet desired outcomes
  • Contribute to the identification of new training opportunities and or development of existing capabilities.
  • Plan, Co-ordinate and deliver in-house training, Verification of Competency (VOC) and or Refresher training.
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in areas you are qualified in.
  • Engage with site management in the implementation and rollout of new training programs.
  • Manage training records in accordance with the Training and Assessment Procedure and Learning Management System.
  • Provide governance to ensure compliance in meeting the requirements of the Training and Assessment procedure.
  • Maintain current knowledge of State based legislation, Company policies and requirements in relation to skills and competencies.
  • Plan, coordinate and mentor workplace enterprise trainers.
  • Source and manage external training providers to meet the operational needs of the business.
  • Support and Coordinate traineeships where applicable.
  • Liaise and support SHS advisers to implement local training plans where applicable.
  • Report on training status across Qube Energy sites as required.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to initiate and support change related to training and demonstrated success in meeting compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in training administration and LMS administration
  • A proven history of taking initiative, working in a team environment and learning from others.
  • PC Literacy with intermediate level skills using Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A demonstrated ability to adapt written and oral communication or presentation style to suit varying audiences.
  • Sound knowledge of adult learning principles with previous experience and interest in training and coaching others to learn new skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, adapting and delivering learning and assessment programs
  • Sound technical knowledge and experience in a range of industry related skills.

Essential:

  • Minimum qualification TAE40116 / TAE40122 - Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.
  • Hold a current High-Risk Work Licence with classes related to Transport, Warehousing and logistics operations.

Desirable:

  • Experience as a Transport and Logistics trainer
  • Certificate III in Transport and Logistics
  • WorkSafe Assessor qualifications
  • Ability to be able to travel nationally as required
  • Experience in Oil and Gas, Resource and mining sector
