What's the role?
We are currently seeking an accomplished Operations Superintendent for our Utah Point site in Port Headland.
In this role you will be responsible for ensuring that the Utah point site complies with all client, regulatory and company responsibilities, including safety, by managing the effective delivery of Truck Haulage Services to our Clients.

Specific Responsibilities
- Supervise staff, ensuring staff have skills required to undertake tasks as designated.
- Undertake regular on the job observations and coaching, and advice to employees to assist in their safety development
- Monitor and maximise the performance of the Qube onsite team and administer counselling and discipline process if required.
- Ensure workforce roster planning and leave management is undertaken to meet client needs
- Monitor maintenance team and processes to ensure this is being carried out efficiently and to the required standard.
- Monitor haul road team and processes to ensure maintenance is carried out efficiently and to the required standard
- Maximise attendance and productivity from all Qube employees
- Ensure Qube Procedures and Policies, and those related to Client Operations are understood and adhered to.
- Monitor and report on monthly performance including but not limited to downtime, bottlenecks, breakdowns, customer and personnel related issues that may have a financial impact on the business.
- Ensure operational procedures are current and ensure personal are trained.
- Use initiative to develop and implement operational efficiencies in accordance with employment contracts.
- Ensure Pre- Start Meetings are held and documented
- Ensure Machinery Pre- Starts are carried out and documented
- Ensure Contractors are properly engaged and adequate supervision and monitoring is in place to meet Qube/ Client requirements.
To be successful in this role, it is preferred that candidates have:
- Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar capacity within the Transport and Logistics industry, preferably with exposure within the resources sector
- Exceptional safety leadership qualities
- Have broad people management skills
- Demonstrated customer relationship building skills
- Outstanding commercial and financial acumen
- Full profit and loss accountability at either contract or branch level
- Superior communication skills - both written and verbal
- Ability to multitask and priorities work across the division
- Excellent attention to detail
- A positive attitude
