JOB SUMMARY

The Physics Department of the University of Connecticut invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the area of experimental Ultrafast Physical Chemistry/Ultrafast Science/attosecond research/Coherent Phenomena/Ultrafast Molecular Dynamics. Research topics of interest include, but are not limited to: attosecond dynamics using the XLEAP at LCLS-II as well as using femtosecond FELs around the world.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The candidate will be stationed at the PULSE Institute at SLAC National Laboratory in California and will work collaboratively with Nora Berrah and James Cryan as well as the atto collaboration.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. in Physics or physical chemistry. 

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise with ultrafast lasers, HHG-based atto-experience is desired.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

The appointment is for one year, renewable annually for an additional two to three years contingent upon satisfactory performance, mutual agreement.
