JOB SUMMARY

The Physics Department of the University of Connecticut invites applications for a postdoctoral research position in the area of experimental Ultrafast Atomic, Molecular, and Optical Physics/Physical Chemistry/Ultrafast Science/Attosecond Research/Coherent Phenomena/Ultrafast Molecular Dynamics. Research topics of interest include, but are not limited to: attosecond dynamics using the XLEAP at LCLS-II as well as using femtosecond FELs around the world; time-resolved molecular dynamics experiments using IR and UV lasers paired with a COLTRIMS at UConn.

The candidate will be stationed either at UConn or at SLAC National Laboratory in California.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ph.D. in physics or physical chemistry.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Expertise with ultrafast lasers, attosecond, and COLTRIMS experience is desired.

APPOINTMENT TERMS

The appointment is for one year, renewable annually for an additional two to three years contingent upon satisfactory performance, mutual agreement, and funding.
