The geodynamics group is looking for a Postdoctoral Associate to join a team investigating the thermal and volcanological evolution of Mercury. The successful applicant will develop a model of the thermochemical evolution of Mercury consistent with the available geophysical and geological observations. The origin and evolution of the northern rise will be investigated developing a suite of 3D numerical simulations of the thermochemical evolution of Mercury that integrate a new melting model with realistic assumptions regarding the mantle rheology. The models will be constrained geophysical and geochemical observations. |
