The successful candidate is expected to work on independent project(s) via conducting both in vitro and in vivo experiments, data collection/analysis, manuscript preparation (method and results), lab organization, and maintenance. The research project(s) involves animal (mouse) care, animal ischemic surgery, histological staining, cell culture. The multidisciplinary approaches, associated with biochemistry, molecular biology, cell biology, pathological, and physiology will be used. The employee will provide various supports in projects from in vitro stem cell culture, reprogramming, differentiation, characterization, to in vivo cardiovascular animal disease model, stem cell transplantation, echocardiography, and other functional analysis. Average of 20 hours a week.
The candidate should hold a bachelor degree (or above) in the biological fields with independent ability to do mammalian cell culture, Western blot, PCR, and/or immunostaining as a minimum. Experience with rodent (mouse or rat) surgery are knowledge of stem cell biology and cardiovascular diseases are plus. The employee should be self-motivated, and willing to learn new experimental skills, and work individually and collaboratively in a friendly working environment.
MS or PhD degree in Molecular biology, Biochemistry, Physiology or equivalent field; Previous experience and skills in wet lab are plus.
