This position will provide financial and operational support for multiple grant sponsored projects and for departmental business transactions including purchasing and payroll. Coordinate the formulation, and assist with the development and allocation of project budgets. Reconcile monthly accounting statements and maintain accounting files. Develop new project cost proposals with assistance of CECE faculty. Provide accurate and timely financial report to the director and to the CECE faculty. Responsible for purchasing for project and departmental needs. Must be a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business management or related area and/or equivalent training and experience; demonstrated working knowledge of general accepted accounting principles; strong computer skills to include working with spreadsheets and databases; experience working with detailed information; high degree of proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications; excellent analytical and interpersonal and communications skills; ability to research, investigate, analyze and evaluate data;
Professional level experience in governmental and/or fund accounting; working knowledge of OMB circulars; demonstrated working knowledge of budgeting, including preparation, tracking and reporting of budgets; significant experience in a university-sponsored programs or grants office.
Commensurate with experience up to a budget maximum of $57,000
