Job Description

The Neuromotor Research Clinic of the Virginia Tech Carilion Fralin Biomedical Research Institute located in Roanoke, VA is looking for a Research Associate. This role will participate in clinical-research efforts to advance effective and innovative treatment strategies with children and young adults with neuromotor disabilities. The Research Associate will serve as part of a clinical research team in the implementation of various therapeutic protocols including but not excluded to: the ACQUIREc protocol (Pediatric Constraint-Induced Movement Therapy)) and other intensive therapy-based therapy approaches. The successful candidate will display the ability to work independently with patients, to identify goals, as well as develop and then implement treatment plans while maintaining a high level of confidentiality and professionalism. Required Qualifications

Masters in Occupational or Physical Therapy from an accredited occupational or physical therapy program.
Licensure, certification, and/or registration: Licensed to practice as an Occupational or Physical Therapist in the Commonweath of Virginia.

Preferred Qualifications

Effective interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills required.
Demonstrate clinical competency with pediatric population.
Experience in research and data collection.
