Job Description

Serve as the Information Systems Administrator providing comprehensive IT support to the School of Neuroscience and Department of Statistics. Duties include providing end user support and training, ensuring endpoints are kept secure, providing patch management services, administering all IT hardware, handling all software orders and licensing approvals, submitting all network service work orders, assisting with website creation and maintenance, maintaining accurate inventories of all IT systems (hardware, software, network services, and data), and installing operating systems and application software for new computing devices. Supports over 400 pieces of IT equipment across eight campus locations for approximately 150 faculty, staff, and students in business, teaching, and research settings.

Required Qualifications

Bachelors or Associate's Degree in a technical computer-oriented field or equivalent experience and certifications such as the various SANS, CompTIA, or Microsoft certifications. Extensive experience supporting Windows OS X and Linux operating systems and applications. Extensive experience with large storage systems of tens of terabytes. Experience with Microsoft Active Directory and Group Policy management. Experience securing IT environments against system intrusion and malware. Experience troubleshooting hardware and software problems. Experience maintaining and troubleshooting A/V systems. Experience with maintaining file and system backups. Experience troubleshooting network connections, supporting Microsoft Office applications, and maintaining software licenses. Excellent communication and people skills and the ability to work in a diverse work environment. Demonstrated ability to perform effectively under pressure, in the face of frequent interruptions and changing priorities, and with minimal supervision.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in an IT help desk role
• Previous experience in IT procurement and asset management
• Previous experience with A/V systems, Crestron, Extron, Polycom
• Experience with cloud services such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Google Workspace for Education, and Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Office 365.
