Job Description

Serve as a support member of a technical team that services over 900 computer workstations, printers, laptops, and Apple devices utilized by 1200 departmental users accessing Student Affairs network resources. Provide technical support to departmental users and assure that IT security guidelines and best practices are followed consistently and effectively. Install, maintain, and update end-user hardware and software. Provide support through in-person, phone, email, and internal ticketing system. Emphasis on troubleshooting, diagnosing and resolving computer and network problems in a timely manner while providing excellent customer service. Understand when and how to escalate issues to the appropriate technical staff to assist in resolving service and computer issues.

Required Qualifications

Previous experience providing tech support for Windows and Apple OS environments in a professional setting. Demonstrated knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office software suite Experience with providing IT support in person, by telephone, or through the ticketing system. Excellent interpersonal communications skills. Adept at troubleshooting and problem-solving hardware and software. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a workgroup. Ability to work efficiently in stressful situations.

Preferred Qualifications

Demonstrated experience in configuring devices for enterprise networks. Knowledge of the state purchasing procedures, NI&S procedures, and computer networks. Previous experience with inventory reconciliations.
