Chief Objective of Position: Performing vehicle instrumentation and related work.
-Duties include the installation, calibration, testing, and troubleshooting of circuits, components, and instrumentation for data acquisition systems.
Prototypes and debugs electronic circuits, cabling and equipment.
-Debugging electronic assemblies to component level using various equipment including but not limited to oscilloscopes, meters, computer controlled test equipment, and vehicle diagnostic devices.
-Independently performs most assignments with instructions on global objectives and general results expected.
-Receives technical guidance on unusual or complex problems and work is reviewed for application of sound professional judgment.
-Travel 70% of the time.
-Position involves lifting objects of up to 50 pounds unassisted.
A driver's license check and criminal conviction check will be required for selected candidate.
An earned Associate's or equivalent related experience and training.
-Demonstrated ability to install electronic equipment in a variety of motor vehicles.
-Demonstrated working knowledge of hand tools, powered hand tools, soldering equipment, multimeter, oscilloscope, vehicle diagnostic devices, and basic vehicle wiring.
-Must be able to prototype circuits from a given schematic and perform basic diagnostics.
-Demonstrated ability to properly create and join electrical cables.
-Computer proficiency expected, specifically Microsoft office applications.
-Demonstrated ability to work independently or with little supervision.
- Valid driver's license
Bachelor's degree in Electronics or related field.
$32,000 - $45,000, commensurate with experience
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
