Job Description

Under the direction of the Head of the Service Center this position is to maintain timely and accurate access to both offsite departmental records for departmental users and patron access to library materials. University Libraries maintains an offsite Records Center for storage of official records of the University. In addition, the Library houses library material in two off-site locations. This position is critical in ensuring that both departmental users and library patrons have fast, timely access to material.

Required Qualifications

- Experience prioritizing and organizing work tasks with attention to detail
- Experience with word processing tools such as Google Docs or Microsoft Word as well as team communications tools such as email and shared calendars
- Experience with providing excellent customer service
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential material
- Must have a valid driver’s license in good standing
- Must be able to routinely lift, move boxes and bins weighing 50+ lbs
- Must be able to work from elevated locations, 40 feet height
- Must complete provided training to earn certification to use a Raymond order picker within 90 days of employment

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience working in a warehouse or high density storage facility
- Experience in an active records environment
- Experience with inventory management
- Experience working in a library environment
- Experience operating warehouse powered lift equipment
