Job Description

Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Associate position with Wireless@VirginiaTech (https://wireless.vt.edu/) within the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative and the Bradley Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Virginia Tech, Blacksburg, VA. The position involves conducting experimental research in the broad scope of wireless communications and networking, with a particular focus on 5G and Beyond 5G technologies and applications of artificial intelligence and machine learning to wireless systems. The candidate will oversee the design and development of 5G testbed being developed at Virginia Tech and be involved in UAV experimentation with 5G.

Required Qualifications

- PhD in Computer Engineering or Computer Science or a related field. PhD must be awarded no more than four years prior to the effective date of appointment with a minimum of one year eligibility remaining.
- Communications and networking background.
- Hands-on experience with experimental research in communications and with communications testbeds.
- Solid background in 5G and Beyond 5G technology.
- Demonstrated ability to manage people and working effectively with on a diverse team
- Track record in publishing in high-impact peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Good communication skills
