The Web and Digital Project Specialist will be part of a high-energy team who are working to advance the goals of the Commonwealth Cyber Initiative (CCI). The Web and Digital Project Specialist will assist CCI in website development and support, video/photo and asset management, as well as analytics and search engine optimization. The successful candidate will work with constituents to craft strategies for creating, managing, and publishing content across various channels, including web, video, newsletters, and social media. The successful candidate can work on both macro and micro levels.
Duties include site design, usability review, standards compliance, update management, and analytics monitoring. The successful candidate will work with key stakeholder groups to design and develop new sites and pages, as well as redesign existing pages to promote a more logical, user friendly, and professional web presence for CCI. The Web and Digital Project Specialist will administer web architecture, hierarchy, and navigation, and must be able to holistically analyze situations and implement targeted, creative solutions. The Web and Digital Project Specialist ensures compliance with CCI branding guidelines, in addition to tracking and evaluating analytics to inform decisions about layout and design. The Web and Digital Project Specialist maintains CCI’s video, photo, and asset library. This position reports to the Director of Communications and Marketing.
This position is located at the Virginia Tech Research Center in Arlington, VA. This position is eligible for a hybrid work arrangement within a commutable distance to Arlington to support a weekly in-office presence. Depending on business needs, travel may be necessary support collaborative initiatives.
• Demonstrated experience in web design and development, including proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery.
• Demonstrated experience in online content creation and maintenance of websites.
• Experience with content management systems, especially Adobe Experience Manager.
• Proven ability with the Adobe Creative Suite and Google Analytics.
• Bachelors or Associates degree in a related field
• Certification in web design/web development
Commensurate with experience, starting at $80,000
The successful candidate will be required to have a criminal conviction check.
