Job Description

The Premium Seating Specialist reports to Assistant Director of Donor Experience & Stewardship. This position is charged with oversight of budget, invoicing, payment, service, and overall operations for premium seating for Women’s Basketball and Baseball for Virginia Tech Athletic events. They will also assist in the premium operations for all other sports with premium needs. They work to ensure donors and patrons have a first-class experience while attending events in our premium seating areas. They’ll also collaborate with our event staff, our food service provider, and will lead a team of game day hospitality assistants, to ensure our donors have long-lasting memorable experiences. This role will collaborate with our ticket solutions team in outbound sales efforts, hosting prospective clients, and providing the necessary education allowing for a smooth sales process.

Duties include:
- Assist with premium operations for Women’s Basketball and Baseball.
- Assist with premium seating logistics, suite holder experience, and vendor coordination.
- Conduct pre- and post-game checks of all premium seating areas of the VT Athletics Venues.
- Greet and welcome premium seating guests as they enter VT Athletics facilities.
- Resolve any service issues encountered by premium product guests.
- Assist with any special requests received from premium seating guests.
- Assist in any other service-related game day duties as necessary or as may be assigned by the Assistant Director of Donor Experience & Stewardship.
- Assist in supervising the Premium Hospitality Assistants on game days.
- Routine face-to-face personal interaction with other VT Athletics personnel and premium seating patrons at Virginia Tech Athletics events and other Club events; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the athletics venues.
- Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

Proven experience in a fundraising environment, with a specific focus on hospitality management, premium seating, and/or operations.

Past experience building relationships with ticket buyers and donors of all levels in the premium seating space.

Proven ability to build and execute a plan focused on delivering a first-class experience in a live entertainment venue.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, sports management, or a related field. 

Technical experience working with Paciolan, Salesforce, Blackbaud or similar customer relationship management software.

Ability to work in a fast-paced operations environment, and able to quickly solve problems as they arise.

Cross-collaborative mindset with the ability to work with a range of teams and individuals that are involved in the premium seating experience.

Additional Information

Unable to Sponsor Work Visas.

Ability to work nights and weekends, and participation in college or university programs when possible.
