| The Associate Director for Scholar Support serves as a key student success leader, supporting undergraduate scholarship recipients through individualized advising, purposeful programming, and strategic campus partnerships. Reporting to the Director of Scholar Support, this role helps students fully engage in the opportunities available at Virginia Tech while fostering academic success, personal growth, and timely progress toward graduation. The ideal candidate is passionate about educational access, student development, and building meaningful relationships that promote belonging and achievement among a diverse student population.
The Associate Director also provides leadership and supervision for two graduate assistants, ensuring the delivery of high-quality support services through ongoing training, development, and mentorship. In collaboration with the Director of Scholar Support and partners in University Scholarships and Financial Aid, this position helps create a coordinated and holistic student experience. Success in the role requires strong collaboration skills, a commitment to student-centered practice, and the ability to build effective partnerships across a complex university environment. |
