| The Pamplin College of Business at Virginia Tech is seeking an exceptional leader to serve as Department Head of Finance, Insurance, and Business Law. This full-time, calendar-year appointment at the tenured Professor level offers a rare opportunity to shape the direction of a dynamic and forward-thinking department within a top-tier public research university.
As Department Head, you will:

The Department of Finance, Insurance, and Business Law is deeply committed to creating and sharing knowledge that transcends traditional boundaries—empowering faculty and students to lead projects that enhance marketing theory, improve consumer welfare, and solve real-world problems. You’ll join a collaborative leadership team alongside the dean and fellow department heads from Pamplin’s seven academic units—including Accounting and Information Systems, Business Information Technology, Marketing, Management, Hospitality and Tourism Management, and Real Estate. Together, you’ll help shape the college’s strategic priorities and amplify its impact across the university and beyond.
