As a member of the Capital Planning and Construction team the successful candidate will lead the development, management, and coordination of a wide variety of design and construction projects to deliver new facilities and facility improvements on schedule and budget. This position will be responsible for coordinating and managing all phases of project work from pre-construction to final close-out of small to large capital construction projects. This role will also be responsible for all daily activities associated with maintaining the college aesthetic and functional objectives, including compliance with codes and standards, and day to day operational and tactical aspects associated with various projects and facilities.
Project Manager - Facility Engineer Lewiston, ME
As a member of the Capital Planning and Construction team the successful candidate will bring specialized knowledge and technical expertise in engineering to the management and delivery of facility projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical (mechanical, electrical, and/or civil engineering) background. The Baker is responsible for preparing a variety of baked goods and maintaining and cleaning all baking equipment. This position calls for someone who is able to safely, efficiently and consistently produce and present food in a high volume setting. A focus on providing outstanding customer service and exemplary organizational and time management skills are a must.
Second Cook Lewiston, ME
Staff holding a second cook position primarily work in student dining providing approximately 5000 meals per day to the students, faculty, staff and guests of the college who dine in Commons. They are also called upon to prepare items for catered events as needed.  This position may be considered “Essential Personnel” in the event that:  An emergency occurs on the Bates campus or in the vicinity that would impact Bates  Inclement weather forces the closing of campus  Or other emergency events deemed appropriate
Steward (Bates-Morse Mountain Conservation Area) Lewiston, ME
Stewards serve as on-site representatives of Bates College. Tasks include greeting and informing visitors, maintaining records, monitoring entrance and parking lot, walking trail and beach, checking for damage, rule violations, and communicating with the Lead Steward and BMMCA Director. Stewards work weekends beginning in April, then between 16-40 hour weeks in May through September, and returning to weekends only in October and possibly November. The work schedule includes weekends and holidays.
