Join us in establishing our new Refurbishment Workshop in Taurkio, Tauranga—a key initiative within Qube's expansion strategy. This workshop will play a vital role in maintaining and enhancing our extensive fleet of machinery from across our multiple operational sites throughout NZ. This is an exciting opportunity to join our growing team in Tauriko.

About the Role

Position: Diesel Mechanic 

We are looking for a skilled Diesel Mechanic to service a range of machinery including excavators, loaders, and material handlers. Receive full tooling support and tackle diverse mechanical tasks at our new fully kitted refurbishment workshop.

Location: Tauriko, Tauranga

Status: Full Time Monday to Friday 0700 - 1600

Specific Responsibilities

  • Diagnosing and repairing a variety of heavy loaders, excavators, forklifts, trucks and trailers
  • Carry out refurbishment work and upgrades to machinery
  • Servicing machinery
  • Repairs to attachments, grapples, log heads and clamps

Who we're after:

We are seeking candidates who are Trade Certified (preferably A grade) or have experience in Automotive Light, with the drive to upgrade to Automotive Heavy (Plant & Equipment). You should be familiar with hydraulic systems, have a verified history of working on heavy machinery, hold a Minimum Class 2 License, and demonstrate the ability to work both autonomously and in a small team environment with a positive can-do attitude.
