About the role:

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Engagement Specialist to join our Innovation & Quality Division and support regulatory engagement activities across BaptistCare's national operations.

Reporting to the Regulatory Engagement & Assurance Manager, you will coordinate regulatory matters from receipt through to closure, supporting responses to audits, reviews, notices, requests for information, accreditation activities and compliance monitoring processes. You will work collaboratively across the organisation to ensure regulatory responses are timely, accurate, evidence-based and aligned with legislative and regulatory requirements.

This role plays a critical part in maintaining organisational readiness, supporting continuous improvement, and strengthening BaptistCare's ability to meet the expectations of regulators and accreditation bodies across multiple jurisdictions and service streams.

Working closely with operational leaders and specialist teams including Governance, Risk, Legal, Clinical Governance, Safeguarding and Quality, you will help coordinate evidence collection, monitor actions and commitments, identify emerging risks and contribute to organisational assurance and reporting activities.

About you:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in health, nursing, allied health, human services, social services, public health or a related discipline.
• Demonstrated experience working in quality, compliance, governance, regulatory affairs, risk, clinical governance or service delivery roles within aged care, disability, health, housing or community services.
• Strong understanding of regulatory and legislative frameworks within highly regulated environments.
• Experience supporting audits, accreditation reviews, regulatory responses or compliance monitoring activities.
• Exceptional written communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, evidence summaries, briefing papers and regulatory submissions.
• Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills with the ability to work across diverse teams and functions.
• Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines and complex regulatory matters.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.

Desirable:

• Knowledge of the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission or other relevant regulatory bodies.
• Experience in quality assurance, continuous improvement, audit or accreditation programs.
• Postgraduate qualifications in Clinical Governance, Public Health, Human Services Leadership or a related discipline.
• Experience working within a not-for-profit, healthcare, aged care or community services environment.
• Incident investigation or regulatory compliance training.
