Part-Time Opportunity – Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays

Are you a confident, caring educator with at least one year of experience working with preschool-aged children? Do you thrive in a play-based learning environment and love watching little minds grow?

Jellybeans Child Care Belmont is on the lookout for a dedicated Assistant Educator to join our warm, supportive team. In this role, you’ll help shape the early learning journey of children aged 6 months to 5 years, with a special focus on our curious, energetic preschoolers.

This role is perfect for those who are available to work Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays on a rotating roster.

Who We Are

At Jellybeans Belmont Child Care Centre, we’re more than just a childcare centre—we’re a community where families and children thrive. Conveniently located for families in Belmont, Ascot, Redcliffe, Cloverdale, and Riverdale, we provide high-quality care for children aged 6 weeks to 6 years, with flexible hours from 6:30 AM – 6:30 PM to fit the busy schedules of local parents.

Our centre is designed with both fun and learning in mind. Kids explore our spacious, vibrant indoor and outdoor play areas, equipped with the latest age-appropriate technology and learning tools to spark curiosity and creativity. From hands-on activities to educational play, every day is a new adventure!

We’re proud to care for up to 117 children, creating a nurturing, stimulating environment where kids are supported to grow, learn, and build lasting friendships.

What You'll Be Doing

• Bring Learning to Life
  Support in planning and leading fun, age-appropriate activities like art, music, movement, and outdoor adventures that spark imagination and curiosity.
• Create a Positive, Inclusive Space
  Help build a warm, respectful classroom culture where every child feels valued—and teamwork and diversity are celebrated.
• Watch Them Grow
  Observe each child’s development closely, celebrate their milestones, and share insights with parents and your team to support every child’s unique journey.
• Keep Things Running Smoothly
  Help maintain a tidy, well-organised learning space, keeping materials prepped and ready for each day’s exciting discoveries.

  Ensure children are always safe, supported, and cared for by following all health, safety, and centre policies.

1. Diploma Qualified
   You hold an ACECQA-approved Diploma in Early Childhood Education & Care (or equivalent), and you're confident in your ability to lead learning experiences.

   With a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS), you know how to turn theory into fun, meaningful moments for kids.
3. You’ve Done This Before
   You bring real-world experience working with children aged 0–5, and you know how to adapt, stay calm, and bring the good vibes—no matter what the day throws at you.
4. Teamwork Is Your Thing
   You love being part of a close-knit team where ideas are shared, support flows both ways, and everyone lifts each other up. You're collaborative, positive, and always ready to pitch in.
5. Great Communicator
   Whether you're talking with families, teaming up with colleagues, or documenting a child's day—you’re clear, thoughtful, and professional.
6. Safety Ready
   You have a current Working with Children Check and First Aid Certificate (including CPR, Asthma, and Anaphylaxis training).
