Are you a dynamic, people-focused leader ready to make a real impact? We are seeking an experienced and passionate Director, Workforce Capability & Talent in People Division within Enabling Services Group.

  • Full Time, 35 hours per week
  • Temporary opportunity until end of October 2025
  • PSSE Band 1


This is an exciting opportunity to provide executive leadership to teams focused on the delivery of services in talent acquisition and a range of programs in learning and development and DEI. Reporting to the Chief People Officer, you will also play a key role in driving the delivery of outcomes defined in the People Division Plan FY26.

Your day-to-day duties will include:

  • Drive the delivery of programs that support the development of department-wide workforce capability aligned with DPIRD, ESG and People Division priorities.
  • Provide executive leadership across talent acquisition, recruitment, learning & development, diversity & inclusion and employee experience functions to enable improved business outcomes that attract, retain and develop employees.
  • Facilitate effective stakeholder relationships across DPIRD and the sector to enable a cohesive approach to enhancing the capability and talent of DPIRD.
  • Deliver expert advice to senior executives and business partners across DPIRD, fostering collaboration to achieving meaningful workforce outcomes.
  • Champion an inclusive culture and define a strong employee value proposition that supports DPIRD as a place that people want to work.
  • Implement process improvements, streamlined and automated methods in talent acquisition to maximise customer satisfaction and the candidate experience.
  • Monitor workforce trends and insights to ensure DPIRD is responsive to current and future needs.
