      Under general direction, will support the workforce initiatives for the Arizona Primary Care Office. This position would support the data evaluation and collection of Primary Care Areas and Health Professional Shortage Areas. It would also support multiple state-wide initiatives to increase recruitment and retention of health care professionals as well as federal programs in health workforce. The position is responsible for conducting marketing activities; managing/monitoring contracts; overseeing loan repayment disbursements; managing database and spreadsheets; assisting with site qualifications and development; developing/revising program materials and web contents; developing standard work and manuals; interpreting rules and statutes; providing technical assistance statewide; and following established program guidelines and protocol per state and federal requirements. The position will have administrative responsibilities in ensuring appropriate and complete documentation of requirements and deliverables are met including documentation of contract and contract amendments, compliance issues and resolution, service/encounter reports, and other pertinent documentation. This position is required to perform work at/attend meetings at alternate locations and/or travel when necessary.

      The Administrative Specialist III (ASIII) position is a central coordinator for the Northeast Regional Area including administrative support for the five regions: Coconino, Navajo/Apache, Navajo Nation, White Mountain Apache Tribe and Yavapai and assists the Northeast Regional Area Director. A key function of this position is the active support of these five regional partnership councils, each representing 11 volunteer members of the community, to ensure meetings comply with legal obligations established for First Things First. This position is an integral part of a team-based environment providing a variety of complex administrative activities as well as being part of a culture that offers exemplary customer service. The ASIII serves as an ambassador and trustworthy representative of First Things First, coordinating work with regional staff, regional council members and ensuring effective communication with internal colleagues and external community partners. This position also has the opportunity to work as an active and contributing member of multiple teams, including working professionally and effectively with other administrative specialists to develop increased efficiencies in administrative work. This remote, community-based position may also require in-person participation at meetings held outside the immediate service area.

    • ADOLESCENT HEALTH PROGRAM MANAGER in PHOENIX

      The Adolescent Health Programs prioritize the need to enhance equitable and optimal initiatives to positively impact the emotional, physical, and social wellbeing of adolescents, including youth with special health care needs. Programs and initiatives implemented include Teen Pregnancy Prevention, Bullying Prevention, Youth Mental Health, Youth Councils, and other adolescent health initiatives. This Adolescent Health Program Manager (AH PM) functions within the Adolescent Health team under the direct supervision of the Adolescent and Family Health Manager. This position is responsible for managing youth mental health, bullying prevention and teen pregnancy prevention programming and reporting, and other adolescent health initiatives as needed, and is responsible for maintaining OWH websites up-to-date. The position assists contracted programs with ensuring that the concepts they plan to implement are evidence-based, realistic, and delivered with fidelity. They will be required to work closely with each contractor to ensure compliance with the contract as well as state and federal law. The AH PM requires frequent statewide travel and occasional national travel. This position will have a hybrid work schedule and there will be occasional in office days for bureau related meetings and/or projects, as needed. This position is responsible for, but not limited to: - Managing adolescent health programming efforts, including but not limited to the Youth Mental Health First Aid initiative and contracts, bullying prevention initiatives, and teen pregnancy prevention contracts. - Providing day-to-day technical assistance to sub-recipients - Review and approval of contractor invoices, narrative reports, and fidelity monitoring reports; monitoring program budgets - Coordination and/or training of health educators for implementation of Youth Mental Health First Aid, Wyman's Teen Outreach Program and other curricula, and professional development and conferences - Coordination, co-facilitation of and participation in the Youth Mental Health Steering Committee and execution of projects. - Identifying opportunities to leverage other adolescent health programming to integrate mental health - Maintaining OWH websites up-to-date and coordinating development of new sites, as needed - Developing, updating, and implementing youth mental health program policy and procedures, quality improvement and tracking tools - Conducting annual contractor site visits and facilitator observations - Collection of data from contractors and reporting to proper channels - Coordinating efforts to develop, foster and maintain relationships internally and externally with community partners in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. - Representing the program and ADHS at various internal and external meetings as needed.
