The Disaster Reservist Coordinator I (DRC 1) will deploy to act as liaison between the SEOC and county/local Emergency Operations Centers (EOC) and or Incident Command Posts (ICP) to support intelligence gathering in the field and support policy decisions to mitigate the effects of the disaster. The primary function of this position is to facilitate effective communication and coordination between the SEOC, county/local EOC and the ICP. The DRC 1 is required to have and maintain a working knowledge of assessing disaster effects, information gathering, incident command systems, incident action planning and safety procedures, and must have highly effective verbal and written communications skills. Actively participates in promoting a continuous improvement of workplace culture, through the use of teamwork, root cause problem solving, standard operating procedures, and review of performance metrics.
