    • WORKERS COMPENSATION MANAGER in PHOENIX

      This position will work closely with the Claims Manager to oversee daily operations and staff of the Industrial Commission of Arizona Claims Division to create and maintain a positive team culture focused on continuous improvement and employee engagement; Implementation of short-term and long-term strategies to ensure that the Commission meets its statutory obligations in these areas as set forth in A.R.S.§ 23-901 et seq (Arizona Workers' Compensation Act) and all other applicable laws and rules. This knowledge and experience may be substituted with the equivalent experience in Arizona Workers Compensation claims management.

      The position will work across the Department coordinating and implementing the CDC Overdose to Action (OD2A) grant deliverables with the ADHS State Lab, ADHS Business Intelligence, ADHS Emergency Preparedness and the Division of Public Health Prevention Services. Duties include: identifying evidence-based or emerging best practices; financial and contract grant management; grant writing and development; communicating with partners; identifying needs and gaps in services, making recommendations to ADHS leadership, and developing and maintaining a repository of resources aimed at reducing rates of prescription drug misuse and its corresponding negative consequences. These resources include agency action plans and scorecards with measurable goals and objectives, toolkits, social marketing, and educational materials. The position will also be responsible for providing training and technical assistance to community partners, county public health departments, and other state agencies on strategy development and implementation; and use and dissemination of data and monitoring and surveillance. Additional responsibilities will also include research and guidance on existing and emerging policies and practices; outreach to professional organizations and regulatory boards; and direct service presentations to communities, stakeholders and policy makers. Technical responsibilities will include guidance on budget and scope of work development; guidance on strategy development; development and guidance on best or emerging practices; data-driven needs assessments; and process, impact and outcome evaluation development, analyses and reporting. This position will attend statewide and community meetings, as assigned.
