Under the direction of the Unit Deputy Warden, the incumbent will provide leadership and supervision of unit activities and is responsible for the safety and security of staff and inmates. The ideal candidate will have experience in leading and developing diverse groups of staff, progressive administrative experience in managing inmate populations at various custody levels, monitoring and directing unit operations, security, and inmate programming. They will assist the Deputy Wardens in applying ADCRR’s vision using modern correctional practices.

This role discusses the concerns expressed by patients by listening, offers suggestions, and helping patients with perception, self-realization and orientation, in accordance with programs goals, objectives and treatment plan goals. This role offers rotating schedules to include any day of the week to meet the needs of the hospital and its patients. This position offers weekend differential, and shift differential, and has guaranteed shifts.

The BHT 1 will maintain safety and security for patients and staff while assisting with orienting patients and new staff to the unit.
