Incumbent assures all work is in compliance with state and federal codes; performs all assigned tasks within the established guidelines and instructions, adheres to established safety rules/procedures, ensures work is compliant with all applicable safety codes. Incumbent will be required to take immediate action in emergency situations and is responsible for timely reporting on corrective action. REFRIGERATION MECHANIC in PHOENIX
Under the supervision of a Physical Plant Supervisor, the Refrigeration Mechanic installs, maintains, and repairs the heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation equipment for facilities under the care of the Arizona Army National Guard in the Central region, which include the areas of Phoenix, Buckeye, and Florence. Position will occasionally utilize and supervise inmate labor to assist in maintenance and service functions. May also be required to transport inmates to and from different job sites.

The Refrigeration Mechanic will install and maintain heating, air-conditioning, and ventilation equipment for logistics funded Arizona Army National Guard Facilities under supervision of a Physical Plant Supervisor. This will include a wide variety of HVAC, Chillers, Boilers, Air handlers, ventilation systems, heat pumps and heaters. Must be able to diagnose issues with freon and natural gases as well as electrical issues from switches to motors.
