Financial Audit Intern in PHOENIX
Be part of a collaborative team assisting with financial and compliance audits. Our clients include state agencies, counties, universities, and community college districts, and you may be working with your team on a variety of audits at the same time. You will practice applying the AICPA’s generally accepted auditing standards, Government Auditing Standards, and other federal auditing requirements. In addition, you and your team will be making a difference in government within the State by providing recommendations to improve clients’ internal controls. Under minimal supervision, performs work in a structured environment to monitor and coordinate day-to-day Department and fusion center operations. Works with state troopers, Operational Communications, other Department work units, the public, and other local, county, state, tribal, and federal entities to obtain situational awareness related to incidents and events and perform information sharing and alerting functions. Provides timely email notifications about events meeting certain criteria around the State. Makes phone notifications to command staff and executive staff and calls out specialty work groups. Performs other duties as assigned.
