Is authorized to initiate Office purchase requisitions and other expenditures from the BEMSTS in accordance with current Bureau and Office procedures; initiate personnel action e.g., recommend selection of candidates for hiring and disciplinary action regarding existing staff; contact federal and state public health officials; and guide and coordinate integration efforts.
