Utilize software tools, basic scripting skills, and logs to monitor network and system health. Upgrade and maintain operating systems and application software. Create and update documentation, including standard operating procedures, administrative instructions, after action reports for system outages, task status updates, and customer reports.

This position will oversee the application development team at the Arizona State Hospital and will help lead the planning, design, development, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise and program-specific applications for Arizona State Hospital (ASH). This position will help oversee several critical systems at ASH including the electronic health records system, staff tracking and other quality and compliance systems. This position will meet with ASH leadership to understand application need and will coordinate with ITS leadership to create sustainable and flexible solutions for ASH. Makes decisions guided by policies, procedures and business plans; receives guidance from senior management. Creates and promotes a productive work environment, ensuring that necessary skills and competencies are in place to meet the goals of the unit.

The Arizona Department of Health Services (ADHS) is seeking an Applications Developer to support mission-critical applications such as EzWIC and Universal Product Code (UPC) for Arizona Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC). ADHS is looking for a self-motivated individual who can work independently while also working collaboratively in teams and across organizations. The developer will be responsible for developing new applications and modifying existing applications to meet functional and technical designs following best practices. This role proactively solves complex problems, supports production systems, and builds strong relationships inside and outside the organization. Furthermore, the developer will engage directly with business analysts and stakeholders to understand functional requirements and prepare necessary technical documentation.
